How to: Name a range of cells.
Solution:
Select the cell range to name. Select 'Name' from the 'Insert' menu. Click 'Define...' and type a name for the cell range.
1) Open the desired file in Excel.
2) Select (highlight) the cell range to name.
3) Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Name'. (A submenu appears.)
4) Select 'Define...' from the submenu. (The Define Name dialog box appears.)
5) Type a name for the cell range in the 'Names in Workbook' box.

NOTE: No spaces are allowed in the name. Names can contain up to 255 characters.
6) Click 'OK'.
